Lenovo Launches New Legion Smart Glasses with Wide Field of View and Lightweight Design

Lenovo has introduced new smart glasses in China that reside under the Legion branding. One of the big improvements that the latest eyewear brings over the predecessor is a brighter screen. To fill you in, the Gen 2 AR glasses that launched at CES 2025 have a peak brightness rating of 800 nits. The latest addition, on the other hand, has a peak brightness rating of 6,000 nits.

While Lenovo didn’t specify the panel type, the glasses most likely feature Micro-OLED screens. These 120 Hz displays are said to have a DCI-P3 color coverage of 98%, and the company claims that they can offer an experience similar to that of a pro-grade gaming monitor. Another highlight of the new Legion AR Smart Glasses is the in-house 2D to 3D conversion tech.

Lenovo highlights that the tech is compatible with many AAA games and a wide range of devices, including gaming handhelds. Regarding the sound setup, the wearables come with a “super linear dual-speaker” configuration that’s said to direct the sounds toward the user’s ears.  Among the other highlights is a 63-gram lightweight design, a large eyebox for a wider field of view, support for magnetic lenses, and adjustable nose pads. The launch price in China is CNY 2,499, around $348, and Lenovo could launch the new smart AR wearables as Legion Glasses Gen 3 in the global market.
