Dogecoin’s world had suddenly become a lot more action-filled with lots of people joining in. Developer Mini Doge has pulled off an impressive feat, directly deploying the iconic 1993 first-person shooter “Doom” onto a Dogecoin blockchain network. By utilizing “inscription” technology, Mini Doge successfully coded the entire Doom game onto the Dogecoin network.
This implies the game is entirely hosted on a blockchain platform and not connected to any servers outside. Players can also play in the full-screen mode, with the mouse. The launch saw a wave of online activity, with the same kind as that at Bitcoin’s Inscriptions.
But the technology is not without any criticism. While inscriptions pose many implications for security, the US National Vulnerability Database demonstrated them as real threats to be addressed.
