Meebits Joins Telegram To Grow Its NFT Ecosystem

Telegram, a renowned a cloud-based, cross-platform, social media and instant messaging app that focuses on speed and security, continues to be a popular platform for non-fungible token projects, particularly those focused on community building and fun engagement. Meebits is the latest non-fungible token project to join Telegram to explore the untapped possibility tied to it.
In a July 02 blog post, the Meebits NFT team confirmed that they have joined Telegram to grow their NFT ecosystem. “We are excited to have an official presence on the world’s most active messaging platform, where tokenized stickers turn into digital collectibles,” the Meebits NFT team remarked. The Meebits NFT team has launched a reward program that will give the first 500 community members a chance to win 500 $APE.
Launched in 2021, Meebits is a non-fungible token collection previously from the digital asset firm Larva Labs, featuring a limited edition of 20,000 unique 3D voxel characters, created by a custom generative algorithm, then registered on the Ethereum blockchain network. These NFTs are rendered in voxels similar to characters from popular games like Minecraft or Roblox. Users can use these NFT characters as metaverse avatars, or in games, and virtual reality. The Meebits NFT collection is now owned by Meebit Company, which acquired it from Yuga Labs.
The Meebits NFT collection was a sister collection to CryptoPunks, a globally acknowledged non-fungible token collection featuring a fixed supply of 10,000 pixilated NFTs hosted on the Ethereum blockchain network. Since its inception, the Meebits NFT collection has been selling like hotcakes, cementing its place as a major NFT collection in the NFT market. To grow its NFT ecosystem, the Meebits NFT team has joined Telegram.
Telegram is attracting non-fungible token projects due to its large, engaged user base, its real-time communication features, and its ability to foster strong communities. Furthermore, the platform’s speed and ease of use, especially for real-time communication, make it attractive for marketing and community management related to NFTs. The platform’s integration with the TON blockchain for features like NFT-based usernames and gifts also contributes to its appeal.
In recent months, several NFT projects have established Telegram channels to foster community engagement and provide updates. Other NFT projects have leveraged Telegram stickers and the native TON blockchain network to create new ways for users to interact with their NFTs. Some of the leading NFT projects, which have already launched Telegram NFT stickers series, include Pudgy Penguins, Doodles and Bored Ape Yacht Club.
