Grammy-nominated performer and entrepreneur Iggy Azalea has announced the forthcoming launch of “Motherland,” a new online casino that will only accept her MOTHER coin. The news was made at the Motherland Rodeo event held at the Breakpoint conference in Singapore. The casino, which will launch in November, will provide a variety of typical casino games such as slots, blackjack, roulette, and poker, as well as live dealer games, tournaments, and sports betting.
Azalea, together with her business colleagues Joe McCann, founder of the crypto investing firm Asymmetric, and Reece Pearson, project manager, underlined the platform’s goal of combining culture, entertainment, and cryptocurrency. Azalea defined Motherland as a “digital homeland for the crypto community unlike any other,” underlining that the initiative is more than just hype and will produce long-term value.
Joe McCann praised Azalea’s idea, writing, “Motherland is a perfect example of how Iggy is taking the token beyond speculation and into real-world applications.” He noted that, although memecoins frequently rely on internet culture and the attention economy, the MOTHER token is poised to provide long-term value through a practical utility in the online casino space.
MOTHER, a memecoin founded on the Solana blockchain in May, has maintained its value partly thanks to Azalea’s backing. In June, Azalea permitted the use of the token to purchase phones and monthly mobile contracts through her telecoms firm, giving it a boost. Motherland is expected to further incorporate MOTHER tokens into everyday use, perhaps establishing a new trend at the crossroads of entertainment, culture, and cryptocurrency.
