Futureverse and Rakuten Wallet Launch a Pass to Bring Users Onto Web3 More Easily

Futureverse, a maker of AI and metaverse technology, has launched RakutenWallet.Pass with Rakuten Wallet to ease Web3 user onboarding. Starting today, Rakuten Wallet’s users will now have access to onboard seamlessly to an upgraded version of the RakutenWallet.Pass, unlocking Web3 benefits like digital ownership and access to immersive experiences.

RakutenWallet.Pass is the first version of next-generation commerce through a secure and intuitive digital wallet integration powered by Futureverse’s proprietary Pass technology. Both parties have signed a deal to work together to further the development of Web3 and metaverse initiatives. RakutenWallet.Pass, powered by Futureverse’s infrastructure and Layer 1 blockchain The Root Network,  is designed to eliminate the complexity of onboarding to Web3 and improve interoperability for Web3 content in gaming and metaverse applications.

“What we’ve built with our Pass product is a seamless login experience that any brand, community or commerce giant can use to upgrade their backend technology so consumers can immediately experience the benefits of Web3,” said Aaron McDonald, CEO of Futureverse, in a statement. “We’ve made the technology itself invisible and have eliminated the roadblocks that consumers and brands usually experience when trying to deliver the value that web3 can provide.”

He added, “The RakutenWallet.Pass will feel simple for any consumer, while the benefits are limitless. Rakuten Wallet’s scale and commitment to innovation make them the perfect partner to illustrate how our technology works—allowing millions of users to engage with digital ownership, immersive experiences, and next-gen commerce with ease.”

One of the first experiences available is Reebok Impact, where, using Futureverse’s AI technology, users can transform cherished photo memories into personalized digital sneakers, choosing from iconic Reebok models like Pump, Classic Leather, or Club C.  Starting today, Rakuten users can activate their RakutenWallet.Pass at rakutenwallet.readyverse.com and create their unique Reebok digital collectibles for their avatars to wear with any virtual experience in the Futureverse ecosystem.

With this integration, Rakuten Wallet users don’t need deep technical knowledge of blockchain or to jump through hoops in order to engage in upgraded digital interactions. RakutenWallet.Pass is leading the next generation of consumers’ digital commerce experience. Rakuten Wallet is a digital asset and cryptocy exchange service under Rakuten Group, dedicated to providing secure, user-friendly, and innovative financial solutions.

Futureverse is a technology company building the foundation for the next chapter of the internet. Its proprietary tools across AI, blockchain, digital identity, and virtual asset infrastructure power everything from avatars and collectibles to immersive games and expansive metaverse experiences. Through Readyverse, Futureverse is working on metaverse tech with Ready Player One author Ernest Cline.
