Azuki and BEANZ creators, Chiru Labs, have teamed up with renowned anime director Gorō Taniguchi to create an anime anthology series.
Taniguchi, who is well-known for his efforts in “Code Geass” and “One Piece Film: Red,” sees this collaboration as a way to open up new markets for anime and provide Japanese anime creators with new chances. He said in a statement, “I participated because I felt this project has potential to contribute to Japan’s animation industry in two ways. One is to open up new opportunities for talented Japanese anime creators through this project.”
Additionally, Azuki has teamed up with Dentsu, a renowned Japanese animation production business and advertising agency, to bring in top talent for the series. Three whole stories, each with a director and a cast of character painters, will be released by Azuki and Taniguchi.
Expanding Azuki IP’s reach and establishing a connection with the world’s anime enthusiasts is the aim. The anthology series is a component of Azuki’s larger strategy to provide a variety of short- and longer-form content to a wide spectrum of viewers. It is scheduled for publication later this year.
