Web3 AI Smart Glasses by DreamSmart and Up Network to Offer Tokenized Incentives

Artificial Intelligence. Augmented Reality. Crypto. Three of the most hyped buzzwords of modern tech have been weaved together in a way no one saw coming.  DreamSmart, a company focused on developing intelligent hardware, and Up Network, innovators in AI agents, have joined forces to create the ultimate fusion: Web3 AI Smart Glasses with integrated agents.

The glasses, set to be launched in Q1 2025, promise users the ability to make money alongside rewarding users with “tokenized incentives” for interacting with artificial intelligence—a first in the increasingly crowded smart eyewear market. All these decentralized operations are processed on-device, meaning no corporation or AI provider can access the users’ transactions or personal information.

“AI agent swarms eliminate the steep learning curve and complexities of Web3,” Up Network said in a statement. “By handling tasks collaboratively and intuitively, these agents enable anyone—even crypto newcomers—to interact with blockchain and AI using natural language.” The other non-Web3-related operations and interactions with Google Gemini are, of course, cloud-based and handled by Google.
“These glasses are not just a device—they’re a gateway to the future of computing and decentralized technology, combining AI, XR, and Web3 incentives into one powerful ecosystem,” Devansh Khatri, Co-founder at Up Network said, according to a Press Release shared with Decrypt. The glasses process all AI interactions using Google’s Gemini foundational model. But besides using the best performing model in the LLM arena, these smart glasses promise to be compatible with “other advanced AI agents,” promising real-time contextual intelligence.
A guidewave optical display projects images directly onto the lenses, creating what DreamSmart calls a “seamless extended reality (XR) experience.” The company also claims its glasses can deliver eight hours of continuous usage. There is no demo or additional information to share, but the announcement comes at a very hot moment for the AI wearables industry, especially smart glasses.
Last week, at least seven major players launched their AI glasses at CES 2025. Some of the most interesting models were the Halliday smart glasses that beam images directly into your eyes and the Captify smart glasses, which use generative AI to project a transcription of what people say to the person wearing the glasses in real-time. Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses lead the market with more than 700,000 million units shipped in 2024, according to IDC data, and were behind the boom of AI-powered wearables.
IDC expects the overall smart glasses market to grow by 6% this year. You can pre-register to apply for a chance to buy the glasses on UpNetwork’s official site.  If you can’t wait and want to test a set of currently available smart glasses, DreamSmart has two options for you: The StarV Air, which you can buy for $59,9 and the StarV View glasses, which cost $399. The future Web3 glasses will be part of the StarV lineup once they are officially available.
