To celebrate the partnership, SSC Napoli is debuting pop-ups within four UGC experiences in the Animoca Brands-owned decentralized world. The pop-ups in Sports Land, The Bank Job, Temple Escape, and The Legend of the Miners will feature quests that, when completed, will give KYC-ed players virtual tickets. Players can then use those tickets to enter into two raffles, where IRL prizes will be up for grabs.
Tommaso Bianchini, Chief Revenue Officer of SSC Napoli, said in aĀ statementĀ that the club is incredibly excited to partner with The Sandbox. The goal of the venture is to expand the clubās global fan base more and more, and The Sandbox seeks to use the tools ofā¦the new generation of fans the club wants to engage through the virtual world.
The IRL prizes up for grabs in the raffles are 24 tickets for the next four home matches, four official team jerseys signed by all the clubās players and the manager, and two official footballs, also signed by all the players and the manager. The only known digital reward is a SSC Napoli White Cap NFT, though neither The Sandbox nor the club have revealed how to obtain it. The drawing for the IRL prizes will occur on August 20th and September 3rd.
As part of the partnership, SSC Napoli will feature The Sandbox in the clubās stadium, including on screens on and around the pitch. According to the press release about the collaboration, more announcements will come throughout the 2024-2025 football season.
