Pudgy Penguins Collaborates with Walrus to Migrate to a Decentralized Storage Platform

Pudgy Penguins announced integration with the Walrus protocol to store and manage its growing digital media library, including stickers and GIFs for product and community experiences. The team will use 1TB of decentralized storage through Tusky (Walrus’s user-friendly file management tool) and plans to expand to 6TB within the next 12 months.

Pudgy Penguins previously used centralized storage solutions, facing challenges with long-term access and consistency with decentralized principles. Walrus addresses these issues by providing permanent, decentralized storage, ensuring that assets are always accessible and verifiable. Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz stated that Walrus enables their team to easily upload, organize, and share content.

Walrus is a decentralized data storage protocol based on Sui, while Tusky, as an important partner in its ecosystem, allows the team to manage access and version control without deep technical knowledge. This collaboration lays a more consistent, reliable, and scalable foundation for content management for Pudgy Penguins, while showcasing the potential of decentralized storage in practical applications.
