Federal authorities have arrested a 21-year-old Florida man accused of helping operate a cybercrime scheme that concealed cryptocurrency-stealing malware inside downloadable video games. According to the FBI, Zyaire Wilkins allegedly worked with co-conspirators to distribute infected games that compromised approximately 8,000 computers, giving the group access to nearly 80 cryptocurrency wallets and resulting in the theft of at least $220,000 in digital assets between May 2024 and February 2026. Prosecutors have charged Wilkins with conspiracy to obtain information by computer for private financial gain, a federal offense carrying a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison if convicted.
