CZ’s Dog Broccoli Memecoin Spikes to $400M in Market Cap

After Binance founder CZ posted a picture of his pet Dog, the crypto nerds went crazy on it as expected and launched hundreds of memecoins with the name Broccoli. One of these memecoin spiked to a market cap of $400 million within a hour of launch.

As per DEXScreener data, the Broccoli memecoin is currently trading at $0.1768 and it surged to the high of $0.42 within the first hour of launch. It now has a market cap of $176 million. In response to the Broccoli memecoin launch, CZ outlined his views via a now deleted post on X, emphasizing that he does not support or intend to promote any memecoins.

Earlier, CZ said that he knows people will start launching memecoins as soon as he posts any picture of his pet. In one of his recent tweets, he said that such quick profits in memecoins is not something he would stand to.  As of now, there are multiple Broccoli-themed trading on primary and secondary markets via pump.fun and other decentralized exchanges. Most of these memecoins are launched on Binance’ own blockchain network, BNB chain.
