Atlanta Blockchain Center Founder Marlon Williams Graduates Magna Cum Laude From Morehouse College

The founder of the Atlanta Blockchain Center and Starter Labs, Marlon Williams, officially graduated from Morehouse College today, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with Magna Cum Laude honors.

What makes the achievement even more impressive is that Williams quietly completed the degree online over the past three years while simultaneously balancing multiple high-level responsibilities as a husband, father, entrepreneur, and leader within Atlanta’s growing blockchain ecosystem. Many people within the Web3 community were unaware he had been pursuing the degree behind the scenes while continuing to build companies, mentor founders, and expand blockchain education initiatives across the city.

During the same period, Williams also helped launch and scale several emerging Web3 and AI-focused projects, including AI Quant and Real Assets for the Worldcoin Mini App ecosystem. One of those mini app initiatives surpassed 60,000 users in less than 60 days, highlighting the rapid traction of the products being developed under his leadership.

Williams has become one of the most recognizable advocates for blockchain innovation in Atlanta through the growth of the Atlanta Blockchain Center, which has hosted educational programs, startup accelerators, networking events, and policy discussions aimed at onboarding more people into Web3 technology. His work has consistently focused on creating opportunities for founders, developers, students, and underserved communities looking to enter the blockchain industry.

The graduation also represents a broader message about discipline, long-term vision, and the importance of education while building in emerging technology sectors. Despite managing startups, community initiatives, and family life, Williams remained committed to completing his academic journey — ultimately graduating with honors from one of the nation’s most historic HBCUs.

His graduation stole attention across Atlanta’s Web3 community after images surfaced showing a custom graduation stole featuring Bitcoin references, Stand With Crypto branding, and nods to his blockchain ventures — symbolizing the intersection of education, entrepreneurship, and decentralized technology that has defined much of his career journey.
