Securitize has launched a new platform allowing eligible investors to trade tokenized shares of major U.S. companies, including Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Microsoft and Amazon, directly on the Solana blockchain. The service, called Securitize Stocks, introduces blockchain-based securities backed one-to-one by actual company shares, preserving investor benefits such as dividends and voting rights. The company also plans to expand trading to upcoming digital securities platforms connected to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and OKX, potentially bringing around-the-clock stock trading closer to reality.
Securitize, a publicly traded financial technology company specializing in real-world asset tokenization, is launching its service with an initial lineup of 12 tokenized U.S. equities.
The announced lineup includes:
Technology giants: Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, Tesla and Netflix.
Crypto-related companies: Circle and Strategy.
Additional companies: Palantir and SpaceX.
Unlike synthetic tokens that simply track stock prices, Securitize’s tokens represent security entitlements backed by actual underlying shares. These entitlements are designed to preserve applicable shareholder rights and economic benefits, although holders are not necessarily listed directly on the issuing company’s shareholder register.
Trading initially takes place through Securitize’s regulated brokerage infrastructure on Solana, with Jump Trading supplying liquidity through its automated market-making system.
The platform uses USDC stablecoins to settle transactions, connecting traditional stock ownership with blockchain-based payment infrastructure.
Key features include:
1:1 backing with underlying securities.
Dividend and voting rights associated with the shares.
USDC settlement on the Solana blockchain.
Extended-hours trading, with 24/7 availability planned.
Access for eligible investors in the United States, European Union and other permitted jurisdictions.
The structure aims to combine the legal protections associated with regulated securities markets with faster blockchain settlement.
Securitize’s longer-term strategy includes expanding tokenized equity trading beyond its own platform.
The company expects its tokenized securities to become available through the NYSE’s planned digital trading platform and the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, a joint initiative involving NYSE parent company Intercontinental Exchange and cryptocy exchange OKX.
Both platforms are being developed to support blockchain-based securities trading.
However, neither venue is operational yet, and future listings remain subject to regulatory approvals and technical requirements.
If implemented as planned, these platforms could eventually allow investors to trade tokenized U.S. stocks around the clock rather than relying exclusively on traditional stock-market hours.
Securitize has already established itself as a major participant in the tokenized real-world asset industry.
The company has issued more than $4.5 billion in tokenized assets and previously helped bring BlackRock’s BUIDL money market fund onto blockchain infrastructure.
Securitize has also tokenized approximately $300 million of its own publicly traded shares across Solana and Avalanche.
Meanwhile, Ripple Prime and Aave are exploring potential applications involving tokenized equities, including institutional trading, lending and collateral management. Those integrations remain prospective rather than fully launched services.
The launch represents another step toward integrating traditional financial markets with decentralized blockchain infrastructure.
Tokenized equities could eventually support faster settlement, extended trading hours and new financial applications involving securities-backed collateral.
However, investors must still consider regulatory eligibility, custody arrangements, liquidity, blockchain risks and differences between security entitlements and direct registered share ownership.
The broader significance is that blockchain-based stock trading is moving beyond experimental products toward regulated infrastructure supported by established financial institutions.
With Apple, Nvidia, Tesla and other major companies represented on Solana, Securitize is helping establish a framework in which traditional stocks and blockchain-based financial markets can operate together.
