One of the most popular and dominant football clubs on the planet, Manchester City has announced that its partnership with the OKX cryptocurrency exchange has led to the release of new non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Specifically, the two sides are collaborating on new commemorative football shifts that would be available as digital collectibles. The champions of England’s Premiere League will now be able to mint the “Unseen City Shirts” from the partnership.
Throughout the last several years, sports organizations have sought to enhance fan interaction and participation. A massive way that this has been done is through the digital sector. Specifically, the integration of digital products would allow supporters to embrace a new kind of fandom.
One of the most prominent collaborative efforts is now leading to an interesting development for a top football club. Indeed, Manchester City and the OKX cryptocurrency exchange have announced their collaborative work on brand new NFTs for faithful Man City fans.
The development is a byproduct of the two sides’ $70 million sponsorship deal that was signed last year. Moreover, this NFT endeavor will see fans able to mint limited edition City shirts. Known as The Roses and the Bees, these collectible products will be availed to be minted on the OKX marketplace.
The Ultra-Rare option will be granted to only 5 individuals. Moreover, they will have the chance to play at Etihad Stadium, get a ticket to a Manchester City home match, and be given a physical copy of the limited edition shirt.
Alternatively, 20 Rare winners will be granted the NFT, tickets to a home match, a tour of the stadium, and the physical shirt as well. All other recipients of the Classic tier will receive the limited edition MAnchetser City and OKX collaborated NFT.
