The Trump OrganizationĀ filedĀ a trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office, marking its potential expansion into the metaverse and NFTs space. The application, filed under DTTM Operations, outlines plans for a digital ecosystem that would allow users to purchase and wear virtual TRUMP-branded apparel, while also offering a simulated dining experience in virtual TRUMP restaurants.

The digital marketplace would exclusively feature content authorized by Donald Trump and authenticated through NFTs. The trademark application was filed on an ā€œintent to useā€ basis, indicating the planned future deployment of these virtual services and digital assets.

During his 2024 presidential campaign, TrumpĀ pledgedĀ to establish the US as a global crypto innovation hub and criticized the Biden administration’s regulatory approach as overly restrictive. In January 2024, Bitcoin Ordinals were inscribed for buyers ofĀ Trump’s ā€˜Mugshot Edition’ NFTs, which offer exclusive perks including dinner with Trump, as part of his digital collectibles strategy.

In November 2024, Trump Media & Technology GroupĀ filedĀ a trademark application for ā€˜TruthFi,’ a crypto payment and trading service, and hinted at acquiring crypto platform Bakkt. This January, Donald Trump launched a Solana based $TRUMP meme coin, which rapidly achieved a market cap of $9 billion, showcasing his influence in the crypto space.
